In his initial appearance, he attempts to deceive the protagonist by posing as a statue. Once the player retrieves the key and restores power to a room that requires it, Huggy Wuggy dismounts from his pedestal and begins stalking the player from vents and other high, inaccessible locations. It isn’t until the player ventures into dark areas that Huggy Wuggy emerges from the shadows and chases them through conveyor belt tunnels. If the player fails to reach the end of the belt and the safety of the catwalk, Huggy Wuggy catches and kills them with his deadly teeth. However, if the player successfully reaches the catwalk, they can push a box to block and ultimately destroy him, causing both to fall. Whether Huggy Wuggy survives the fall or is killed remains unknown, as he collides with pipes and disappears into the void.
