If you weren’t aware that development was underway, here’s some exciting news: this marks the game’s first public release. Please bear in mind that as we continue to polish the game, some minor bugs may still appear.
While I still prefer the original Flash version, I truly appreciate this new iteration because it runs exceptionally well on mobile devices. Currently, however, the mobile version does not include on-screen controls—they will be added in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone right away, pairing a Bluetooth keyboard provides a smooth experience.
Although I previously mentioned that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some more challenging levels may experience slight slowdowns at that rate. Fortunately, this setting is adjustable, and I am considering hosting a separate 60Hz version for users with high-performance CPUs. Overall, Happy Wheels JS aims to faithfully replicate the original game’s design and gameplay experience. The user database, levels, and replays have remained unchanged since the initial launch. The only thing lost is the imminent demise of the universe—thankfully, not the game itself.
